At Vetman you will find Superavet and RWD anesthesia machines.

Superavet has many different models. You can find wall-mounted, articulated, wheeled and table models directly from them. We have made the wall-mounted model of Superavet into a compact mobile anesthesia machine, which includes, in addition to the anesthesia machine, an oxygen concentrator (oxygen generator / oxygenator), an isoflurane vaporizer and an anesthesia trolley. The manufacturer of the oxygen concentrator and isoflurane vaporizer in one model is RWD and the manufacturer of the trolley is Fysioline Production. The manufacturer of the oxygen concentrator in the other model is MedCaptain.

The anesthesia trolley from Superaveti and Fysioline Production is an easy and compact solution

The Fysioline Production anesthesia trolley is easy to move, which allows the use of one anesthesia solution in several locations. The anesthesia trolley has a drawer where you can easily store the necessary equipment that may be needed very quickly. The trolley also has a counter space for the necessary equipment. The trolley itself is easy to keep clean thanks to the high-pressure laminate. The advantage of the MedCaptain oxygen concentrator is that it has a large display that shows real-time flow rate, O2 concentration, time and elapsed volume. Both the MedCaptain and RWD oxygen concentrators are quiet.

The anesthesia trolley contains a Superavet anesthesia machine:

  • One-way valves
  • Easy-to-use common gas input source (for open breathing system use)
  • 0–4 L/min O₂ fresh gas flow meter
  • Safety pop-off valve
  • Pressure gauge
  • Emergency oxygen button
  • Easily replaceable absorber tank

The anesthesia trolley can be customized to suit the needs of the veterinary clinic.

There are also other options for a mobile anesthesia machine than a pre-built model. It is possible to attach two anesthesia machines to the cart, there is a narrower model of the cart for tighter spaces, the vaporizer can be changed to sevoflurane, and the anesthesia cart can also be assembled without an oxygen concentrator.

I have found the anesthesia trolley to be beneficial because it brings all the equipment together in one unit. This makes it easy to control and adjust, and it is securely mounted on its base. All equipment and monitors are visible at a glance. The anesthesia trolley can be assembled to suit your needs, and the trolley itself is easy to keep clean and disinfected thanks to its material.

Patient safety is paramount in anesthesia care

In the treatment of a patient's anesthesia, occupational and patient safety are of primary importance and these can be influenced, for example, by careful staff training, equipment expertise and planning. In addition to these, the ability of the nursing staff to anticipate possible complications and handle possible problem situations is important. Problem situations caused by the equipment can be minimized by regular maintenance and checking before each anesthesia.

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) lists safety considerations in anesthesia equipment, including a safe pop-off valve and a pressure gauge. A safety pop-off valve refers to an outlet valve that can be closed with one finger, for example, and the patient can be manually ventilated by squeezing the breathing bag. In this case, the risk of the outlet valve becoming blocked and causing lung damage to the patient is eliminated.

RWD's R650 anesthesia unit has patient safety in mind

RWD's New R650 anesthesia unit has a clearly placed safety exhaust valve and pressure manometer on the front panel. This allows the patient to be accurately and safely given manual ventilation during anesthesia, while monitoring airway pressures from the pressure manometer. The patient's ventilation, or lung ventilation, is monitored using capnometry and capnography, and in addition, blood gas analysis provides us with valuable additional information.

The R650 Anesthesia Unit can be easily converted into a portable unit.

An oxygen generator can be placed below the unit and the RM800T monitoring monitor is placed on the top level. The monitoring monitor is then at a suitable level, from which it is easy to operate it with the touch screen if necessary and monitor the patient's parameters. The R420 ventilator can be connected to the side of the device and is conveniently connected to the oxygen generator. The removal of anesthetic gases is designed so that it can be carried out by passive or active removal. There is a rack for passive gas removal at the back of the unit.

The mobile anesthesia machine is an economical and high-performance solution that brings efficiency and ease to anesthesia work in veterinary clinics. The compact and easily movable structure enables smooth operation even in small spaces.
